4 Essential Foods To Help You With Weight Loss

Did you know, that there are some foods, that will actually help you lose weight? That’s right, not all foods are bad – and you don’t have to starve yourself to get thin! Here I’ll show you how four perfectly ordinary foods, will dramatically enhance your weight loss attempts. There’s nothing magical about them – just good, hard science.

The way it works, is that some foods are harder to digest than others. So if you eat the right foods, your body will burn a lot of calories to digest them, meaning you can eat a lot more of them without gaining weight than you can other foods.

As we become older, our metabolic rate slows down considerably! Ever wondered why most people gain weight during their middle age? During middle age, a person’s metabolic rate becomes low; hence he is not able to burn as much fat as he used to during his youth. Eating these ‘special’ foods is, however, a good way of boosting your metabolic rate! In this article I will tell you about some of these foods:

1. Tea: Tea in general, and green tea in particular, contains antioxidants and metabolism boosting chemicals. This means that drinking tea will help enhance your immune system, to help keep you healthy, and also cause you to burn more fat, naturally. Now this boost is only a very small amount, less than 100, but every little helps! And if you drink a cup of green tea in the morning, instead of coffee, this little will add up to a pound of fat over the course of a month or two.

2. Peanut Oils: Peanuts are very high in good fats, which help to lower your cholesterol, as well as having protein and fiber which are both very beneficial, and will help stop you feeling hungry between meals. You can get peanuts whole, or as oil, or even peanut butter – which may be the easiest way to eat them!

Peanut butter is available from any local store but I would recommend that you buy the natural ones and avoid the popular commercial brands. Or if you want, prepare it at home! Peanut butter makes for a great breakfast when combined with wholegrain wheat!

3. Nuts: All nuts are high in fats and proteins, but they are particularly high in good fats, which your body needs. If you get a lot of essential fats in your diet, they will actually help to keep your cholesterol low, as well as boosting your metabolic rate. For example, consider almonds – high in protein, healthy, and tasty! So next time you’re out shopping, pick up a bag of almonds to snack on.

4. Peas: These little green foods contain a lot of fiber, which really helps to keep your body burning fat, because it takes a long time to digest. This means that you’ll fell hunger less often, and won’t have to stop for a snack between meals!

So there it is – four vital foods, to help you lose fat and keep it off.
